Become part of our Foster Network
Thank you for your compassion and interest in becoming part of our foster network! Each rescue group has their own procedure for screening and approving those interested in fostering rescued animals.
Fostering an animal saves it's life by taking it out of a kill facility until it is adopted. You may foster an animal between a couple days up to a few weeks. Often it takes only that long for them to be adopted. And you can of course decide to adopt the animal yourself, which is known to happen.
Fostering costs nothing, there is no medical to pay for. We ask that you provide food for the animal if you are financially able. Sometimes we can assist with discounts on food items but we try to use our funds for urgent medical care for all of our animals in need and to save as many as we can. You can have your choice of dog or cat or either but as a foster family, we ask that you take the animal we provide as most needy, rather than trying to choose a specific animal.
You are NEVER under any obligation to foster an animal. There will be times when you cannot accept an animal. Rescue groups are dependent on the foster care network, and will accept any level of help you are willing to provide.
